Development Academy

The Cerebral Palsy Football Development Academy is the only dedicated cerebral palsy football club in the country.
The club provides a footballing home for children and young adults with CP. We currently have approximately 50 players (from 6 years of age upwards) participating in the football programme.
Our objective is to develop the footballing skills of all of our players, foster team spirit, improve fitness levels and encourage good sporting behaviours.
The Club is affiliated with and supported by the FAI.

Participation

The Club participates in friendly matches and international fixtures against other CP / football for all teams.
In the last number of years, our senior squad has competed in international CP football tournaments in Barcelona and Austria. In 2016 and 2017, our Club hosted a multi-nations tournament (The Friendship Cup) in Dublin. Teams have travelled from England, Denmark, Italy and Northern Ireland to participate in the tournament.
The senior players in the Club have the opportunity to progress to the elite level of the sport and represent Ireland at International CP football competitions, including the European and World CP Championships.
